CERTIFICATION'S ESG Rating:2020©

SUSTAINABILITY - CERTIFICATION'S ESG Rating: 2020©

In 1987 the World Commission for Environment and Development set an ambitious goal for the development of sustainability, describing it as “development that satisfies the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” (ref. World Commission on Environment and Development. ‘Our Common Future’M. Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1987, p. 43).

Through their activities and relationships, all organizations provide positive and negative contributions towards the objective of sustainable development. Organisations therefore have a key role to play in achieving this objective.

WHAT IS CERTIFICATION’S ESG RAtING:2020© ?

The Certification of Sustainability, as promoted by the CERTIFICATION’S ESG Rating:2020© standard, is a correct practice of the Organization to publicly report to stakeholders on it, in relation to economic, environmental and/or social impacts, and therefore its contribution to the achievement of the objective of sustainable development.

Through the Sustainability Certification process, an organisation is able to identify and communicate its significant impacts on the economy, the environment and/or society with a globally accepted standard based on ISO standards applicable worldwide.

The CERTIFICATION’S ESG Rating:2020© standard creates a simple common language for organizations (SMEs, Multinationals) and stakeholders (Collectivity, Customers, Suppliers, Investment Funds, etc.), to communicate and to understand the Environmental, Social and Governance impacts of the Organizations (ESG Environmental Social Governance Impacts).

Our standard has been designed to improve the companies’ information on these ESG aspects, allowing real transparency and accountability by organisations. The aim of the Rating:2020© is to assess the positive and negative impact that companies have on sustainability, through the assignment of a score.

There are several objective components, based on the requirements of the applicable ISO standards, of the CERTIFICATION’S ESG Rating:2020© methodology. In the Audit activity, there is our evaluation of the activities, products/ services of the Company throughout the life cycle.

The result is an ESG impact assessment summarized in the Rating on a scale from AAA+ (Sustainable Company) to D (Non-Sustainable Company):

The Certification of Sustainability is carried out by CERTIFICATION Milano, Certifying Body accredited ACCREDIA for five ISO Certification schemes ( Quality, Environment, Safety, Information Security and Anti-Corruption).

This, unlike other organizations, guarantees the absolute independence of the person carrying out the certification activities in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1 (ISO reference standard for system certification).

The CERTIFICATION’S ESG Rating:2020© Assessment System take into account the requirements of ISO (International Organization for Standardisation ) applicable to Sustainability Aspects, which are globally accepted, and the requirements for the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals agreed by the United Nations.

Moreover, the Sustainability Certification is also based on the ISO Certifications accredited, giving the organization the validity at IAF (International Accreditation Forum) level that derives from international mutual recognition agreements (IAF multilateral recognition arrangement (MLA)).

This is why we can define the Certification of Sustainability the “Certification of Certifications”:
